Welcome to Hands of Fate, an alliance guild of Nathrezim! There are a lot of great things about Hands of Fate (HoF). There's always a buddy to chat with, a dungeon to raid, someone to help you on a quest, or some battlegrounds to conquer with your friends. Hands of Fate is a relatively old and very stable guild sitting on a great player base. At Hands of Fate, our number one goal as a guild is to have fun. If you want to explore the newest 40 man raid and participate in epic battles, we have that. If you're interested in PvPing all the time, you can do that too. If you simply want to level an alt and improve your profession skills, and just want some company while you do it, we're here for you.
At our core, we consider Hands of Fate to be a Casual raiding guild. Our idea behind this is a simple one: People have lives. There are sometimes more important, real world issues that need to be addressed before booting up WoW. We raid about 4 times a week, in 3-4 hour blocks. Our player base is surprisingly older and more mature than most guilds on our server. Spouse, child, or work aggro, as we like to call it, can be a pain. As spouses, parents, and employees ourselves, we can always sympathize with someone having a bad day.
Aside from more mature and laidback members, HoF is also very easy going about schedules and attendance. If you cannot make a run, or drop below a certain raid attendance percentage, no one is going to pester you about it. Hands of Fate is currently making great strides in a lot of difficult end game content, so we encourage our members to be as active as they can, but at no time will anyone be penalized for choosing not to attend a guild function or event.
A friendly, inviting atmosphere with lenient raid schedules and an older crowd of players, coupled with our amazing dedication and sense of teamwork make Hands of Fate one of the most unique and interesting guilds on Nathrezim. We pride ourselves in treating everyone with respect and courtesy, while still kicking ass beyond that glowing portal. If you have any questions, or are interested in applying, we would love to hear from you on our forums. Thanks for stopping by. Now let's boof up, and stay away from the gong. You don't want Fuku to slap you silly.
New Members
If you are new to Hands of Fate, welcome! There are a lot of things to learn about us, but hopefully this will help outline some of the key components that make up our guild. First and foremost, who runs the show. Sanshoku, formally fukushuoni, is our guild master. He is a rogue. He has three dukes, or guild assistants. They are Lassisar, a druid, Tular, a rogue, and Callaise, a mage. Lass and Tular are married.
Fuku is a great raid leader and very compassionate about the people in our guild. He enjoys exploring new content and helping new members see the things that are new to them.
Lass is our guild den mother. She gets everyone in ship shape before and after raids, is always online to talk to, and mediates any conflicts people might have. She also makes Fire Resist Potions! Yum!
Tular attempts to stay out of the day to day guild management. But every now and then, if the debate to kick or not kick someone goes on too long, Tular will act.
Callaise is our local techie, as it were. He hosts our DKP sites, uploads data and sets up raids on his server. He loves PvP and handing out lots and LOTS of water. HoF uses an officer system, with each class having one lead and one assist. All of the officers are listed on our Officers Page.
The official Hands of Fate bank is Hofbank, which is run by Fuku. HoFbank holds all of our raid materials, such as core leathers, bloodvine, and scarabs. If you would like to request items HoFbank has, send an in game mail to Hofbank requesting the materials needed, how many you need, and for what purpose. More information regarding material requests can be found here.
Oboneknob has an enormously generous and successful alt program as well. Guild members send items other guild members, usually lower levels, might need, to his alt, Thankyou. Every so often Thankyou logs on and donates these items to deserving guild members. If you have any green or blue items, bags, or anything a guild mate mind find useful, feel free to send them to Thankyou.

Rules and Expectations
Hands of Fate strives itself in being courteous, respectful and polite to all of its members. There are several things you should/shouldn't do to be a part of HoF. They are all relatively straightforward and simple, so please do your best to uphold these expectations and rules.
No swearing/cussing/rude language in guild chat. This includes but is not limited to stringing bad words together when describing an upsetting situation, discussing adult oriented activities in detail, insulting/arguing with other guildmates for all to see. Furthermore, if you were to have a problem with a particular guildmate, discuss it privately with them first. If the issue cannot be resolved, come to your class assist/lead and let them mediate the situation. If said issue includes these people, then, and only then, bring it up with Lass, Callaise, or Fuku.
Greet and congratulate guildmates on log ons, promotions, or personal achievements. This one is easy. Help make HoF a friendly and fun place. Say hello to people when they log on, tell them good night when they?re logging out. When someone dings, gets a killer item, or is promoted in the guild, congratulate them on it. It makes everyone feel good when people care about the things they worked hard to get.
If you plan on raiding any game content beyond Upper Blackrock Spire with us, you must have the latest version of CTraid and Ventrilo. When Fuku or any other officer is leading a raid, it is imperative that their directions be taken seriously and followed quickly. To ensure ease of some encounters, CTraid is a must. As such, we require all raiders in the guild to have these two tools. A headset/mic is not required, but encouraged. As long as you can hear directions on vent and get the information being presented in CTraid, you are fine.

Help!
Guilds are based around this term. The main reason a guild exists is so that the power of many can work together to accomplish a greater goal no one person could do on their own. Hands of Fate is very help oriented. There are always 60s running lower levels through instances, questions about mobs, professions, or other miscellaneous queries are always answered in guild chat. Some of the best things you can ask for help about are:
completing a quest
running an instance (Always try and get people your own level before asking a 60)
asking questions pertaining to the game
killing Horde who are ganking you
Asking for donations of gold, items, or other things of that nature are frowned upon, especially if you are new to the guild and have not contributed to HoF in an impacting way.
There are many ways you can contribute to Hands of Fate, and make it a better place for everyone. If someone asks a question and you know the answer, try your best to help them. If a guildmate needs to complete a quest and you are not busy, lend a helping hand. If your professions are desirable for guild success, such as crafting gear, making items/potions, etc, get with Lass or Fuku and see what they might need made. If you find lower level green/blue items that you don't need and are Bind on Equip, rather than vendoring them for a few silver, donate them to Thankyou or another such bank.

Applications
Hands of Fate considers itself a casual, though still professional endgame guild. As such, we ask that if you are interested in joining, you fill out an application on our recruitment section of the HoF forums. Friends of current guildmates are always welcome. Remember to check what classes we are currently accepting on our main page, follow the application form closely, and always be honest with your answers.

Guild Parties
One of the best parts about HoF is that we can perform in end game raids, but still know how to have a little bit of fun now and again. Every few months, Lass throws a guild party that everyone can attend. It usually happens on a Friday night. People bring in game toys, such as happy fun rocks, snowballs, massive quantities of liquor, and random engineering goodies. Sometimes we hold our party outside of the STV arena, other times it's in a Stormwind bar. Everyone is on Vent sharing stories, telling jokes, and having fun. In the past we have had duels, massive Arena battles, raids on Horde cities, and mount races. When you hear talk of a guild party in the works, know you're in for a blast!
